Then and Now - Aakash Institute

1988- a coaching centre 'Aakash Institute' for medical entrance exams was started at A-38, Ganesh Nagar, West Delhi.

1990- Centre opened at B-35, Ganesh Nagar, West Delhi

1993- Maximum selections in Delhi-PMT (23 selections) by a local coaching centre in Delhi.

1994- Centre opened at K-89, New Mahaveer Nagar, New Delhi, first time 1st Ranker fron Aakash in Delhi PMT, regular 1st Ranker afterward.

1997- First franchise centre opened in East Delhi at Pandav Nagar.

1998- Centre opened at L-4 South Extension (part-II) South Delhi.

2000- First time 1st Rank in the CBSE (AIPMT/PDT) Final Exam Centre opened at K-11 South Extension (part-I) South Delhi.

2001- Second Franchise Centre opened in Wazirpur (North Delhi).

2002- Aakash's Centre opened at Janak Puri, West Delhi.

2003- All India Aakash Test Series (AIATS) launched. Centres opened in Guwahati-I (West) and Ranchi.

2004- Centres opened in Bhubaneswar & Lucknow.

2005- Centres opened in Kolkata-I (Central) and Dehradun (Rajpur Road)

2006- Aakash's Corporate Office became operational in Dwarka, Delhi, Centres opened in Mumbai (Andheri), Guwahati-II (East), Kolkata-II (North), Patna (Farser Road) & Pune.

2007- Launched engineering wing 'Aakash IIT-JEE, witnessed huge enrollment of engineering aspirants. Centres opened at Noida & Dehradun (Ballupur Chowk)

2008- Aakash Institute & Aakash IIT-JEE turned into a limited company, Aakash Educational Services Ltd. (AESL). Aakash IIT-JEE produced 1st Ranker, 4 in top 10 and 503 in overall selections in IIT-JEE. Centres opened in Chandigarh, D-15 South Extension (part-II) Delhi, Gurgaon, Dibrugarh, Jammu-I & Jamshedpur.

2009- Launched Foundation Wing, 'Aalash Foundations' for class VIII, IX, X students. Centres opened in Bokaro, Faridabad, Rohtak & in Siliguri.

2010- Launched First Centre in Southern India Chennai (Anna Nagar) and its Flagshio Programme 'Aakash National Talent Hunt Exam' (ANTHE) for young talents. Centres opened in Greater Noida, Haldwani, Ludhiana, Varanasi-I, Jammu-II (K.C.) & Kolkata-III (South) & Jaipur-I (Surya Nagar).

2011- Launched e-learning program, Aakash iSmart. Got enrolled over 40,000 classroom students. Centres opened in Aligarh, Amritsar, Bathinda, Bilaspur, Hissar, Jalandhar, Kurukshetra, Meerut, Mumbai(Nerul), Narnaul, Saharanpur, Panipat, Chennai, (Adyar), Gurgaon (New DLF)

2012- Launched its Tablet based learning program 'Aakash iTutor'. Witnessed over 6,000 selections in Medical & 5,000 selections in Engineering Entrance Exams. 27 Aakashians figured in Top 100 in National Science Olympiad. Centres opened in Agra, Durgapur, Ghaziabad, Jorhat, Palwal, Vadodara, Kanpur, Mumbai, (Thane) & Jaipur-II (Subhash Nagar).

2013- 27260 Aakashians qualified for counselling in CBSE NEET-UG 2013. Launched another Flagship Programme for younger talents, 'Aakash National Young Talent Search Exam (ANYTSE). Centres opened in Ahmedabed (Chandkheda, Ambavadi & Maninagar), Banglore (Jayanagar, Rajaji Nagar & Indira Nagar), Bareilly, Delhi (Punjabi bagh, Pusa Road & Preet Vihar), Hyderabad ( Himayat Nagar & S.R. Nagar,) Bhagalpur, Nagpur, Rajkot, Surat, Kerala (Calicut, MG Road, Palarivattom-Ernakulam), Trivandrum, Coimbatore & Amravati.

2014- Launched fully web-based e-learning Program- Aakash iConnect. Achieved a landmark of more than 101 Study Centres & 150 Exam Centres with a collective base of 1,00,000 students. Centres opened in Chandrapur, Chennai (Ashok Nagar), Goa, Kota, Jaipur-III (Vaishali Nagar), Mumbai (Borivalli, Dadar, Kalyan), Banglore (Whitefield & Hebbal), Vishakhapatnam, Kukatpally, Mohali, Panchkula & Patiala.

2015- Centres launched at Allahabad, Bhopal, Gorakhpur, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Jodhpur, Alambagh and Aurangabad. Launched AITS (junior) for class viii, ix and x studying students. Aakash classroom (ANTHE Batch) students Mr. Vipul and Mr. Nausheen Singhal have created history by bagging 1st Rank in CBSE-AIPMT and AIIMS Entrance Exams-2015 respectively at All India Level.

2016- The highest ever 32500 Aakashians selected in CBSE NEET-UG 2016. Launched its another digital / e-learning programme - Aakash Live. Aakash Centres launched at Kolkata (Barrackpore), Bhubaneswar (Chandrashekharpur), Dhanbad, Guwahati(Azara), Silchar, Indore(Geeta Bhawan, Ranjeet Hanuman), Pune (PCMC), Kanpur (Phoolbagh), Udaipur, Bhilwara, Hyderabad (Trimulgherry), Surat (Adajan), Vadodara (Manjalpur), Bengaluru (HSR Layout), Nashik, Delhi (Model Town,Dilshad Garden, Dwarka Sector-10, Yamuna Vihar, Rohini (Sector-4 & sector-15), Noida (Sector-62), Pathankot, Ajmer, Gaya, Patna(Kankarbagh), Sikar, Ujjain, Haridwar. Aakash Corporate Office shifted to New Corporate Office at Pusa Road, New Delhi.

2017- Aakash new centres launched / to be launched at Akola, Ahmedabad (S.G. Highway), Bikaner, Hyderabad (Kothapet, Shaikpet), Karimnagar, Warangal, Kurnool, Tirupati, Vijaywada (Benz Circle), Chennai (Ambattur & Medavakkam), Tiruchirapalli, Madurai, Kottayam, Thrissur, Moradabad, Visakhapatnam (Gajuwaka), Bengaluru (Bannerghatta Road), Mysore, Hubli, Kolhapur, Udhampur, Vindhyanagar, Delhi(Darya Ganj).
